Aukland has 1/3 of the population of all of New Zealand, packed into one very metropolitan city. I wasn’t crazy about visiting Aukland really, I mean when you think about exploring New Zealand, the last thing I thought about was going to see a city. Though, I was rather impressed with it. It reminded me of San Francisco and Boston combined. There is a very nice restaurant scene and also a full on casino in the Sky Tower. We ate at this incredible restaurant, Wildfire, where they bring meat on a skewer over to your table and cut it off for you, and it’s all you can eat. I felt like a king….Bring me more Lamb! The dinners were the highlight here for me, that and winning $200 at blackjack.
