We picked the perfect day for this; it was a perfect sunny day and calm seams. Though, kayaking proved to be a lot harder then I thought it would be. We chose the tandem kayak and headed through the crystal clear water to Split Apple Rock and then made our way to one of the various private beaches. After exploring the beach and caves, we took one of the best naps ever thanks to Jessica’s make-shift hat shade cover. After a few hours we then made our way back and then began our drive down to Kaikoura for our first night.
