North Island Photos Uploaded

Finally.

I just finished editing my North Island trip that I took all the way back at Christmas. I will most likely add a few more once Simon gives me the rest of his pictures. And this is just in time for me to start my South Island trip, I leave Monday. I'm so thrilled to get the opportunity to take time off work and see all of these amazing places in this beautiful country.

I feel this trip will be even better though because from what people tell me, the South Island is much much prettier. But I think the fact that my this trip will just be me and my girlfriend has me looking forward to it even more.

Some of the things we have planned are: kayaking along the private beaches and caves in Abel Tasman, taking a short cruise in Milford Sound, walking on glaciers, and all of the amazing scenery. Most of the epic Lord of the Rings shots were filmed around the South Island. We were going to go shark diving in one of those cages you see on TV in Kaikoura but they stopped the tours cause there just aren't enough sharks to see anymore, bummer.

Other then that, I'm off work for awhile, thats alwasys nice. All the best, and I'll be sure to be adding a South Island section on my site with photos galore....I hope this one doesn't take me quite as long, who knows.

To view the images click on the "New Zealand" section on the top panel next to the "Tradional" section and go from there.

Enjoy.

Update...Inside Weta Workshop and an Earthquake!

Well, its been a little while, been busy and a little lazy on my blog, sorry for that. I am still editing my photos from my North Island trip that I took over holiday though I have started creating that part of my site under the new tab, "New Zealand." Soon all those little buttons on the image will be links to photos.

Work is going well. I'm learning a ton and still having a blast getting to do what I do. And summer is officially here, I think it hit 75 degrees today, which is really rare here. I had my first view inside of Weta Workshop yesterday. I can't say much legally other then that it was absolutely unreal, so inspirational, my favorite day of work to date. The talent in that place is out of this world. Also, met a few of the Art Directors there, all as nice as they are talented.

Today while at work we had an earthquake, 4.8 on the richter scale. yeah, about 40 km west of Wellington, out in the ocean somewhere. It was strong enough to shake the building a little, nothing more. My second now, the first was back in San Fran, my first weekend there.

Other then that my girlfriend will be here in a little over 2 weeks, can't wait for that. We're gonna take a trip of the South Island for about a week. So, I'm really trying to finish my North Island photos before I get even more backed up. My dad and step-mom are also going to visit in April, nice that they are getting out of the country for bit too and taking advantage of my new home.

Think thats about all, stay tuned for more, I really hope those photos are done soon.

Cheers.
